A challenging, steep, off-track route up beside the 2022 rockslide in the headwaters of Wilsons creek to the ridge of the Koonyum range then south to stunning views and lunch at 656. From there we drop to the Gap and then descend back into the Wilsons creek valley. Expect steep ascents and descents and lots of fallen timber.
This is a strenuous, grade 4 walk requiring a high level of fitness and being comfortable navigating trackless forest. This is a recce walk as sections of the route have not been walked by club members for a few years. Possible dense undergrowth.
